Commonwealth (Comcare) 1 Day HSR Refresher WHS ONLINE Training Course
Interactive Training Services (ITS) is approved by Comcare under the WHS Act 2011 to provide the 1 day HSR Refresher Course (Approval number HSR024). This one day course has been designed to refresher participants knowledge and skills they require to effectively and efficiently carry out their roles as Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs) or Deputy Health and Safety Representatives (DHSRs). HSR training equips participants with the confidence, skills and knowledge to understand and effectively exercise their powers under the current WHS legislation.
This course will be delivered by ZOOM and the times are in AEST. Please take into account timezones when registering.
ITS fees include a certificate of attendance and materials, posted to your address.
Registrations made online will require participants mobile numbers, postal address in full for materials and details to create and issue a tax invoice to present to your employer or to make payment yourself. Who Should Attend?
Entitlements to attend these courses:
Under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (section 72):
All elected HSRs and Deputy HSRs (DHSRs) who have completed the Initial 5 day WHS Course, are entitled to undertake the Comcare approved HSR Refresher course and choose their training course and provider in conjunction with their PCBU (for each year they hold office). A PCBU, if requested, must allow an elected HSR and elected DHSR to attend a Comcare approved HSR Refresher course on paid time, pay the cost of the course and any other reasonable associated costs.
Under WHS legislation PCBUs must not obstruct or prevent HSRs or DHSRs from attending an approved course of their choice.
